Cross Company - 100% ESOP

Cross Company - Greensboro, North Carolina, announced the realization of a vision that originated in 1978, when founder William S. Cross Jr. implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Since that time, the Cross Company ESOP has acquired 62% of its stock and has established the goal of achieving 100% employee ownership. The company has completed the buyout of all externally held shares and has implemented a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan. 11-06
 

The RG Group signs Asset Purchase Agreement

The RG Group – York, PA, Randall A. Gross, President and Chief Executive Officer of the RG Group and Bill McMullin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Hydraulic Sales Company, Inc., announced that the two companies have signed an Asset Purchase Agreement for Air Hydraulic Sales Co., Inc. to join the RG Group. It is expected the transaction will close around the third quarter 2006.

Air Hydraulic Sales, a pneumatic and automation focused distributor located in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, will operate as a division of the RG Group. Bill McMullin indicated that Air Hydraulic Sales is excited about joining the RG Group and gaining access to increased capabilities for the new division, especially in marketing, value added engineering systems and electromechanical motion and control solutions. This new resource for system engineering and fabrication is housed in a newly renovated distribution and manufacturing facility in York Pa. 09/06

TECO Pneumatic installs new solar panel system

TECO Pneumatic, Pleasanton, CA has installed a new solar panel system and has since watched its electric meter run backward.  The system consists of racks holding 208 solar panels that cover 2/3 of TECO’s roof and 6 inverters that convert the DC power to AC that is then piped into its local grid.  09/06

Kaman Industrial Technologies appoints District Manager

Kaman Industrial Technologies, Windsor, CT, announced the appointment of Steve Reed to the position of District Manager for Kaman’s Pacific Northwest District. Reed will direct the district’s sales, service and operations and will be responsible for the growth of market share and the achievement of regional objectives through his strategic management of the district’s sales, inventory, operating expenses and personnel of the district’s ten branches. Reed hold a B.S. in Business Management. 09/06

Flint Hydraulics, Inc. Employee named MVP by SPA

Flint Hydraulics, Inc., Memphis, TN is proud to announce that its design engineer, Mr. Roger Haugen, has been names Most Valuable Player in the nation by the Softball Players Association (SPA) in its 55+ AA division.  Roger plays shortstop for the Memphis Eagle System Senior Softball team. 

Womack Machine Supply Co.announces promotion

Womack Machine Supply Co., Dallas, TX announced the promotion of Lonnie Smith to the position of Executive Vice President of Womack Machine and Supply Companies. Lonnie will continue to be responsible for all sales operations, in addition he will now exercise the authority of President if needed.

In addition, Chris James has joined Womack Machine Supply as Vice President of Finance, effective May 22, 2006. Chris has a BS in Economics from Northwestern University and a MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He is also a CPA in Texas. In addition, he has over 20 years of senior financial leadership experience for firms in manufacturing, service and material handling. Chris will direct the Finance, Accounting, and Credit departments as well as help provide additional strategic leadership for our corporate management group. 08/06

Kaman Industrial Technologies, Windsor, CT, was named Quad/Graphic’s 2005 Supplier of the Year and was recognized as MRO Supplier of the Year by Quad/Graphics at a ceremony in Sussex, Wisconsin. B.W. Rogers, has acquired Fluid Power Products, Inc.

B.W. Rogers, Akron, OH has acquired Fluid Power Products, Inc. Fluid Power Products, Inc. will continue to provide pneumatic, hydraulic, connector and systems solutions to customers in industrial applications. The company will retain the same name and will operate from its five current locations in Lexington, Louisville, and Paducah, Kentucky; Evansville, Indiana; and Charleston, West Virginia. Trent Thompson and Bill Thompson, Jr., former owners of Fluid Power Products Inc. will continue with Fluid Power Products in the new roles of Vice President of Operations, and Manager of Hydraulic Engineering and systems, respectively. 08/06

Tuthill Coupling Group announces the appointment of Sam Wimpy to its sales team.

Tuthill Coupling Group is proud to announce the appointment of Sam Wimpy to its sales team.  Sam will take on the role of Southeast Regional Sales Manager and comes to Tuthill with experience in the industry and an engineering background. Before joining Tuthill, Sam was a Senior Sales Engineer with A. O. Smith Electrical. Prior to that position, Sam was with Emerson Electric Company, where he sold directly into industrial accounts and managed a network of industrial distributors. Sam received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Arkansas State University.  06/06

Interstate Hydraulics Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Interstate Hydraulics, Sandy, UH, celebrated its 25th anniversary in June.  Interstate Hydraulics was started in Salt Lake City, Utah in May of 1981 and has grown to provide services in hydraulics, repair, field service, automation, and pneumatic products to customers in Utah, Arizona, Southern Idaho, and Eastern Nevada and are and authorized service center for Bosch Rexroth and other product offerings. Interstate Hydraulics has also moved its Utah operations to a new location.  The new address is Interstate Hydraulics, 4272 West Nike Drive, West Jordan, Utah 84088. 06/01/06

RG Group announces acquisition of Powertech Motion Control

RG Group, York, PA announced the acquisition of Powertech Motion Control. Powertech, a full line Parker mobile technology center operating in New England the Mid Atlantic United States, will operate as a division of the RG Group. Lars Nilsson will become President and General manage of the Powertech Division of the RG Group. In addition, Mr. Nilsson will take on the responsibilities of the newly formed position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mobile Hydraulics of the RG Group. Powertech will continue to operate out of its headquarters in Mahway, NJ and to operate its three Parker stores in NJ and NY. 06/01/06
